Sometimes it seems like you are doing everything right, you are taking care of everyone, and this is the payback you get? Shit. I'm sorry.

I wouls have just asked the midwife to sen you straight to L&D. At least there they could have hooked you up to monitors, given you tests, all within a calmer atmosphere with less crazies.

Hope you feel better and get answers soon.Emilyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14494920071338607649noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2221819811860290504.post-67600888117849350472010-03-05T08:18:13.842-08:002010-03-05T08:18:13.842-08:00I had similar sounding wave-like pains when I was ...I had similar sounding wave-like pains when I was pregnant with my little guy. I would get them off and on for an entire day, then they wouldn't reappear for several weeks. Sometimes they were so bad that they were debilitating. After making sure it wasn't pre-term labor, My OB/GYN was stumped.

Long story short, I was diagnosed with pre-eclampsia during my 38th week of pregnancy (protein in urine, rising blood pressure).

Now no one in the medical profession told me this, so take it with a grain of salt, but after consulting "Dr. Google" I read that the pain I was experiencing has been linked to an early indication of pre-eclampsia. I decided that if it happens with my next pregnancy (and I pray it doesn't because the pain was, at times, unbearable) I am going to hound the doctor until he figures out what the problem is.Femme au Foyerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02017885493486784766noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2221819811860290504.post-14194371181205058762010-03-04T21:27:50.752-08:002010-03-04T21:27:50.752-08:00Wow. Sounds a lot like my hospital...to the point ...Wow. Sounds a lot like my hospital...to the point where my OB has literally come down to the ER himself and wheeled my ass up to L&D by himself. I had to do that when I was preg with Carter...I thought my water broke, but it turned out I just peed my pants. Sweet. Anyway, what's most fucked up is that the ONLY reason we get stuck in the ER is because insurance doesn't consider our problems to be important unless we are whiney enough to go to the ER!! Whoo...2nd pregnancy has made me a Negative Nelly!! At least we're going down in this boat together!

I hope you feel better :)Candihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16643911924430279389noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2221819811860290504.post-34904213369074158022010-03-04T18:07:23.908-08:002010-03-04T18:07:23.908-08:00Oh mate, how bloody annoying. I think you're doing amazingly well. I hope those pains subside. Especially when you had explicit instructions to go to L&D. Grrr...

I hope the pain goes away...and feel free to bitch and whine here whenever you need to.

xoxoAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
